WL Robinson and his wife Julia S. Robinson started Robby's Pancake House in 1962. It was located on Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater, Florida. The business thrived, and people loved Robby's Pancakes. Over the years, customers raved about the pancakes, and kept suggesting that Robby's should sell pancake mix. In the early 1980's, Robby's started mixing the dry ingredients of Robby's Pancake Batter (developed by Robby's in the early 60's), put them in retail bags, and started selling them at the front desk of Robby's Pancake House in Clearwater (the original) and Robby's Pancake House of Treasure Island.
In 1985, Robby's entered the Foodservice Industry, selling Robby's Buttermilk Pancake Mix to some of the nation's top hotels and restaurants.
Today, Robby's Pancakes are enjoyed all over the United States, and throughout the Caribbean. Robby's pancake batter is still made today the way it has been made since 1962 . . . fresh buttermilk, real eggs, oil, and Robby's Pancake Mix. Robby's Pancake Mix is made with the finest ingredients available.
